Action at Loos Sept-Oct 1915, First Battle Somme 1st July 1916 9th KOYLI at Fricourt, Passchendaele July-Nov 1917. Contracted TB in trenches, time in Wrightington Hospital.
Became a Power Loom Overlooker, Audley Hall Mills , Eli Heyworth's and othe mills
Died of undiagnosed peritonitis after perf ulcer. Cremated at Pleasington Cemetery and ashes scattered on grave of brother Fred.
Rumour of female cousin who married a Pickup also other cousins not living in area.

Frank attended Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Blackburn during the late 1940's and in the early 1950's worked as an aircraft engineering draughtsman at Samlesbury, Lancashire. After a period of National Service with REME in Hong Kong, Frank moved away from Lancashire to work for Ford at Dagenham, Essex. With first wife, Jane, Frank emigrated to Ontario, Canada in the late 1960's. Following a divorce, Frank married Brenda Geeling, an expatriate nurse from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 30th September 1972. A son, Neil, was born in Scarborough, Ontario, 28th September 1975. Frank worked as a salesman for an illuminated advertising sign company until retirement in 1998.
